disband work

i put some work into the disband exhibition which was on in sydney over the weekend. unfortunately i didn't make it up, but the word on the street is they will be bringing it to melbourne in july.

the theme for the new works was 'break ups' so i looked at the positive side which to me means new possibilities, and having a kind of freedom. here are my pieces, they are digital prints on calico with hand embroidery. and they are also for sale, find them here along with other work from the show!

weekend away

we stayed at my boyfriends family holiday house down the coast for the long weekend. i picked lots of vegies, we made sushi + went bike riding on his dads old racing bikes! the house itself is so beautiful, with old furniture + plastic flowers in every room i thought i should share!

i made this napkin for the thread den dinner at the next wave festival.. i put my drawing on an old scrap piece of material, embroidered the outlines and details + added some glitter and jewels. sometimes i feel sad knowing i am sending something away and will never see it again but i hope whoever gets this doesn't cover it in something stinky
