hello!

i have some embroideries for sale at the extended play gallery pop up shop! other artists who have stuff for sale include: Andrea Innocent, Catherine Campbell, Cat Rabbit, Yok, Mel Stringer, Sara McNeil and Lilly Piri.

The official opening is this Saturday 12th December between 6-8 pm. but it's running across December & January, so come on down if you are in the area.
Open 11-5, on the 12th & 19th December & the 9th, 16th & 23rd of January.

okay issue four

i just made issue four of my zine okay.
it will be available online next week but if you are in melbourne the first copies will be sold at the Blackbird Summer Market this Saturday!
it should be an ace day - there's lots of fantastic designers + crafty people selling their stuff aswell as bands playing live too! plus it is at the worker's club which means you may have a vodka lime + soda while you shop!

just finished making this poster for paper garden records in new york baby

ceramics

i finally finished some other pieces in my ceramics class!
after failing miserably on the wheel i made some small plates which were SO easy, they're still a bit nuts but they were fun to make and decorate. i never knew it was so hard to paint a picture onto clay... hopefully i will get better because that bird does not look like a bird!
and the pourer is a result of having a go on the wheel... wonky but cute.

ceramics class

i finally finished a piece in my ceramics class! after 2 weeks of making crazy wonky bowls on the wheel i am excited that my little pinch pot mountain was fired and finished. im not sure what i can put inside it... maybe my tiny feather collection!

im working on my pieces for the Once Upon exhibition in celebration of Leeloo's 2nd birthday.
my pieces are based on the story The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Anderson.

i found the images in some old pattern books. they children look so different back then. i especially like the girl in the rabbit mask she is adorable

ive finally taken photos of the work i had in an exhibition a few months ago.
getting everything documented for my new website
heres the embroideries i did for the essence of pleasure show.
the images themselves measure about 30 cm.

to market

im not sure if anyone knows but i make a little zine called okay. lately lots of people have been buying it and ive even saved enough money to get okay a website! it is at www.iloveokay.com and is completely boring right now but when i make some time it will be beautiful

also, to anyone in melbourne who likes markets i will be having a little stall with my best friend at round she goes market on sunday 4th of october - with lots of vintage clothes + copies of okay.
i am even going to reprint some more of issue one and issue two, so what ever doesnt sell will be on the etsy shop

extra cheeese III photographs

i didn't get the chance to go to the extra cheeese exhibition this time but have just found some great photographs taken by julia guo
my extra cheeese partner laura morgan and i made little birds from all of our left over fabrics and fancy crafty things like sequins, beads, wallpaper, book pages, feathers, doilies, and other wonderful things from our little collections of stuff we never get around to using!
